El Checo Mexican Food

Welcome to El Checo Mexican Food, a delightful gem nestled in Sahuarita, Arizona, at 1625 E Sahuarita Rd. This vibrant food truck brings the authentic flavors of Mexico right to your plate, offering an array of delicious options that will satisfy any craving.

As a food reviewer and lover of all things Mexican, I can confidently say that El Checo stands out for its focus on quality and authenticity. The menu highlights include:

  • Carne Asada Tacos – Savory, grilled meat that melts in your mouth.
  • Barbacoa Tacos – Tender slow-cooked beef, bursting with rich flavors.
  • Red Chile Tacos – A vibrant and spicy twist that will awaken your taste buds.
  • Sonoran Hot Dogs – A street-food classic, these hot dogs are served with mayo, whole beans, fresh onions, tomatoes, avocado, and tomatillo sauce. Priced at just $3.00, they are a fan favorite.
  • Mozza Dog – Topped with melted mozzarella and all your favorite fixings for $4.00.
  • Checo Dog – A heartier option featuring carne asada, perfect for satisfying your hunger for $5.00.

From the moment you step up to the window, you can feel the warmth and passion that goes into every dish. The clean, bustling atmosphere coupled with attentive service makes for an inviting dining experience, even in the casual setting of a food truck.

Customer reviews reflect the consensus that El Checo Mexican Food exceeds expectations. Joe Mc praises the affordability and tastiness of the burritos and Sonoran hot dogs, while Tammy Mitchell marvels at the fresh, vegetarian options available. Kent Beaber and others rave about the authenticity and flavor present in every serving, with many urging first-timers not to leave Sahuarita without sampling their famed hot dog.

Bring cash they don't accept cards. The burritos are great and priced right. The Sonoran hot dogs are also very good. It a roach coach but it is clean, and the food is very good and priced right. It busy from 11 to about 3. But there is usually a table open. I recommend the carne asada burrito.

Very authentic taco truck, tasty and dirt cheap. Try the Sonoran hot dog.
